An exceptional red velvet and tulle evening dress in a classic 1950s silhouette. The main bodice is made from a deep crimson red velvet, with a gathered bust which has internal boning to add structure. The dress fastens down the side with the original metal zip closure and velvet placket detail, complete with pop studs to conceal the zip from view. The top of the dress features a wrap around swiss dot tulle section which acts as extra coverage for the shoulder area. The skirt is lined in a silky feel red acetate fabric, and the outer section is made using the same tulle as the sleeves. There is a middle layer of tulle net creating a lovely volumizing effect.

Although without a specific label, this dress has been well made and is reminiscent of the sumptuous designs worn by Hollywood icons Elizabeth Tylor and Grace Kelly and is perfect for a formal event. In fabulous vintage condition, with no visible stains or flaws. It would fit up to a UK size 8 or 4 US.
